Laura is based in Barrie, Ontario and is the proud mother of Hannah (born June 2017) and two rescue dogs. As a lifelong athlete, during her pregnancy, Laura was instructed to "do what feels good for her body", a focus that carried into the postpartum period. This approach had lasting results for her pelvic health.

“Being a mom is a big part of my life, but it’s not the only part,” says Laura, “At first, motherhood to me meant giving up a lot of the things that I thought defined who I was, but I’ve learned to redefine me in a positive way and ultimately, find myself again.”

FitHer Collective is born from the learnings during this period – from managing the physical result of rushing into dieting and training too quickly (pelvic organ prolapse and diastasis), and the psychological result of putting too much pressure on herself. 

Laura has been involved in the fitness industry as a high level athlete or trainer for 20 years, and is thrilled to be shifting her focus to moms of all stages. In addition to working with athletes locally at the gym she owns in Bradford, Ontario, Laura has helped hundreds of athletes around the world achieve their fitness goals through online support.
